RUFF BROTHERS GRAIN ACQUIRES GRAIN ELEVATOR IN GRIDLEY FROM JBS UNITED
Earlier this year we purchased the former McKey & Rogge grain facility in Gridley, IL from JBS United. We feel that this location fits in well with our current facilities and we look forward to working with farmers in the Gridley area. All employees at the Gridley location will remain with Ruff Brothers Grain, so the facility should continue to operate as it has in past years.
IMPROVEMENTS FOR FALL 2010:
We are currently adding a 500,000 bu. storage tank at the Leonore facility and are adding a new dry leg to handle both grain dryers.
The Lowpoint facility has a new dump pit serviced by a 15,000 bph grain leg and a new Zimmerman 4700 bph grain dryer. Our total drying capacity for Lowpoint will increase to 8700 bph. We have changed the driveway and added a new scale and office to improve the traffic flow during harvest.
At the Moon facility we have replaced the old receiving leg, dry leg and grain dryer with a new 15,000 bph grain leg, new dry leg, and a new Zimmerman 4700 bph grain dryer. We have added a new scale and have changed the traffic flow to improve congestion.
In Lostant we have moved the main dump pit to the north to allow for a better traffic flow.
FALL HAULING SERVICES:
We will be offering our fall trucking services again this season at a rate of 8 cents per bushel on grain hauled into the closest of our facilities. If you require delivery to the RuffRail facility, you will be charged the applicable mileage rate. We ask that you have an auger wagon or another method for loading the trucks quickly. We expect great demand for trucks this fall and will schedule jobs only as the trucks become available. If you are interested in using this service, please give us as much notice as possible before you are ready to haul.
NEW CROP SOYBEANS ON PRICE LATER:
You can save 6 cents per bushel by moving your new crop soybeans to a Price Later contract. You will be charged a minimum fee of 12 cents/bu. instead of the 18 cent/bu. minimum charge for Open Storage.
CARRYOVER CHARGE:
Due to the decent crop coming on and the lack of available storage space, we will charge a carryover fee of 10 cents per bushel on old crop grain in Open Storage or on Warehouse Receipt that is not sold by September 1, 2010. Old crop corn on Price Later will be charged a 5 cent per bushel carryover fee.
OLD CROP STORAGE POLICY:
Soybeans: Minimum storage of 18 cents per bushel will be charged on old corp soybeans in Open Storage or on Warehouse Receipt on September 1, 2010. Monthly fees will apply to beans on Price Later.
Corn: Minimum storage of 16 cents per bushel will be charged on old crop corn in Open Storage or on Warehouse Receipt on September 1, 2010. Corn on Price Later will be charged a minimum fee of 16 cents per bushel.
